You’ve taken the first step.
Welcome to Integrative Psychology Services!
Modern life is not easy. Everything has become more and more complicated: managing relationships, meeting your professional goals, balancing your time, and pursuing your interests. We all experience these demands, and each of us has a limit. When we reach our capacity, we often feel overwhelmed, angry, depressed, and even anxious. We lose joy, and even purpose; we concede to despair and are filled with worries.
Even the strongest and most capable people among us need a little help sometimes to work through some of life’s more challenging problems.
Our private practice specializes in helping people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, problematic substance use, pornography and sex addiction, relationship enhancement, or stress management. If you are feeling lost and struggling with these worries, let us help you rediscover what brings happiness to your life.
Our Clive location is conveniently located to serve Des Moines, Clive, Urbandale, Waukee, West Des Moines, and Windsor Heights. We also offer online telehealth services, available via our secure, online platform.
Everyone has hurdles to overcome and battles to fight at some point. But when things are too dark and challenging, and it feels as if you just can’t figure out how to move past things on your own, you should know that therapy can help you move forward. You might be initially hesitant to seek out help and support for personal matters, but when you do, you will feel confident that you are taking a courageous first step towards getting to a better place and being a better you.
At Integrative Psychology Services, we know that no two people, or their situations, are the same, so we tailor therapy to meet your specific needs as an individual or family. We love helping people understand the things that are holding them back. After recognizing underlying problems, clients can fully realize their strengths and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things a different, healthier way.
Through therapy, there is always a way to address the issues you face and learn coping strategies to help you both now and in the future. We can get you on track to leading a happier, more fulfilling life by equipping you with the tools and skills you need to more efficiently and confidently manage all of life’s many challenges. Our goal is not simply to alleviate negative emotions, but to help you work toward a flourishing, purpose driven life.
It’s never too late to change and start living the life you’ve always wanted!
Kevin Kilcawley, PsyDWhile working as a therapist for several years across the country, Kevin saw first hand the inadequate application of modern psychology, which reduces the understanding of the human person and, as a consequence, the scope of practice becomes limited to simply the alleviation of symptoms. Integrative Psychology Services’ holistic approach emphasizes that full mental health is not just the absence of symptoms. Rather, it is characterized by living a flourishing life; a life engaged in what is true, good and beautiful.
